EDITOR'S POLICY

Editorial Principles

The editor is responsible for journal accountability and content based on procedures and policies in place to maintain the quality and integrity of the journal.

Editorial independence and integrity are an important part of the responsibility to make fair and impartial decisions. This includes separating decision-making from commercial and political considerations and ensuring that manuscripts are reviewed for scientific purity.

The editor protects the confidentiality of the authors and reviewers . This confidentiality process is supported by a web-based article submission system .

The Editor provides guidelines for authors that encourage transparency and full and honest reporting. This guideline stipulates the obligation of the author to state the sources of funding as well as relevant financial and non-financial conflicts of interest.

The editor checks the plagiarism of the article using anti-plagiarism software.

The editor ensures the integrity of published articles through the correction process. The editor takes action based on the level of errors that occur. This action can be in the form of replacing the manuscript of the article which is found due to editorial errors or in rare cases there are conflicting results and if left unchecked can pose serious risks. In the process, the editor will replace the published article manuscript with a new article manuscript that has been corrected by the author and checked by the editor, then will be informed on the announcement page; revocation of articles that have been published with the category of having a violation of the professional code of ethics, such as multiple submissions, false claims of authorship, plagiarism, incorrect use of data, or the like. Revoked means the content of the article (HTML and PDF) is removed and replaced with HTML and PDF pages stating that the article has been revoked in accordance with the IJESSR Policy and the deletion of the article due to being entangled in articles that violate the law based on court provisions. In this case, the article will be deleted and replaced with a statement that the article was removed for legal reasons.

Editorial Process

  1. Review decision : the manuscript of the article that is first entered in the journal will be reviewed by the editor first. Article manuscripts can be rejected at this stage, especially if the article manuscript does not match the objectives and scope of the journal and the article manuscript is of poor quality. This decision was made objectively.
  2. Interaction with Peer-reviewers: editors must choose appropriate peer-reviewers with expertise in the field of articles. The editor ensures that the peer-review process is carried out according to the time specified. Changes in editorial policy must be periodically notified to all peer-reviewers. The editor has the right to disqualify the peer-reviewer if they do not carry out the tasks mentioned above. The editor must monitor the quality and timeliness of the peer-reviewers and provide feedback to the peer-reviewers.

Taking Editorial Decision

  1. Editorial and journal processes. All editorial processes must be explained in the form of information for authors. All Editors must understand the policies, vision and scope of the journal. Final responsibility for all decisions rests with the Editor in Chief.
  2. Editorial conflicts of interest. Editors are not allowed to use unpublished article content for the benefit of the editor's personal research without the permission of the author. Information or ideas obtained through peer-reviewers must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain.

REVIEWER POLICY

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions. Peer-reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communications with authors. Peer-reviewers can also help authors to improve the quality of papers according to their expertise.
  2. Accuracy. If the peer-reviewer is unable to review the article within the allotted time, the peer-reviewer may submit an objection or be temporarily unable to carry out his duties as a peer-reviewer .
  3. Confidentiality. Peer-reviewers must treat accepted manuscripts as confidential documents. Without the editor's permission, the manuscript of the article may not be displayed or discussed with others.
  4. Objectivity Standards. The peer-review process must be carried out objectively. Peer-reviewers are not allowed to criticize the author's personality. Peer-reviewers must express their views clearly accompanied by supporting arguments.
  5. Source Acknowledgment. Peer-reviewers must identify relevant published works/articles that have not been cited by the authors.
  6. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest. Specific information or ideas obtained through the peer-review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. To maintain this principle of confidentiality, the peer-review process for article manuscripts is carried out using the double-blind review method, so that it is expected to avoid conflicts of interest between peer-reviewers and authors.

AUTHOR'S POLICY

1. Article Contents

Researchers must use the correct methods of analysis and presentation of data, check calculations and presentation of data, and be responsible for the content of their publications.

Researchers must honestly present the pictures, research tables, and other results found in the research, without falsifying or manipulating data that is inappropriate or misleading.

Researchers should try to describe their methods in order to present their findings clearly and unambiguously .

Authors must follow the Article Writing Guidelines that apply in the IJESSR.

Authors who quote other people's work, the identity of the work must be written clearly, both in quotations and references.

Authors are not allowed to copy references from other publications if they have not read the work cited.

2. Originality

Applicable rules and copyright must be obeyed. The results of previous research must be acknowledged and properly cited.

Data, text, images or ideas originating from other sources must be properly cited.

Authors should notify the Editorial Team if their findings have been previously published or are being considered for publication elsewhere.

3. Authorship and Acknowledgment

All sources of research funding, including direct and indirect financial support such as equipment or material supplies and other support must be recognized and disclosed. Everyone who meets the writing criteria is registered as a writer, that is, everyone who actively participates in research and writing articles and is responsible for writing content starting from drafting and writing concepts, design, analysis, to article revision.

4. Compliance with Peer-review and Publication Rules

Article manuscripts that enter the IJESSR are not article manuscripts that have been published or are in the process of other publications.

Manuscripts that enter the IJESSR are not allowed to be sent to other publications at the same time.

Authors must notify the Editor if they wish to withdraw their manuscript during the peer-review process or choose not to respond to peer-reviewer comments after receiving conditional acceptance. The journal will sanction the author if in the middle of the peer-review process, the author wants to withdraw the manuscript of the article.

Authors should respond to peer-reviewer comments in a professional and timely manner.

Authors must immediately notify the Editor if they find errors in any work submitted, accepted, or published. If a violation of the professional code of ethics is found, such as multiple submissions, false claims, plagiarism, incorrect use of data or the like in the article, the author must be responsible for the integrity of the research report and must cooperate with the editor in replacing, revoking or deleting it. articles, if needed.
