Abstract

Investment as an activity sets aside part of the funds to be placed in investment facilities in the hope of reaping economic value in the future. The lack of knowledge about shares among students also causes a lack of interest in investing. This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy, investment motivation and investment risk on investment interest in students of Muhadi Setiabudi University. This research was carried out with a quantitative descriptive approach and the type of research is empirical studies supported by surveys. The method used in this study is a correlational research method, which is a study that aims to determine whether there is an association between two or more variables, as well as how far the correlation exists between the variables studied. The population in this study is all students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhadi University for the 2023/2024 Academic Year totalling 359 people. The sampling technique in this study used the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5% for 189 respondents. The data used is primary data in the form of a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis technique with multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the t-value of the financial literacy variable had a positive and significant effect on student investment interest; The t-value of the investment motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on students' investment interest rate; The t-value of the investment risk variable has no effect on students' investment interest; and simultaneously financial literacy, investment motivation and investment risk affect students' investment interest.
