Analisis Kerusakan Perkerasan Jalan Menggunakan Metode Pavement Condition Index pada Ruas Jalan Bumiayu---Salem, Kabupaten Brebes

The increasing volume of heavy vehicles due to the growth of the industrial sector in Bantarkawung and Bumiayu Districts has accelerated the emergence of various types and levels of damage on the Bumiayu–Salem Road section. This study will assess the dimensions, types, and extent of damage on the road. The research will be conducted in initial survey stages to obtain primary data, which will later be used as a basis for road monitoring. The analysis method uses the Pavement Condition Index (PCI). On the Bumiayu---Salem road section from Km. Bmy. 01+000 to 13+000, the following types of damage were identified: 1. Potholes 2.93%, 2. Aggregate loss 28.67%, 3. Potholes 12.27% and alligator cracking 12.00%, 4. Particle Loss 36.67% and Patching 50.00%, 5. Particle Loss 26.67%, Potholes 29.33%, and Patching 38.00%, with a PCI value of 54.37, which falls under the Moderate category. The recommended treatment refers to the Road Maintenance Practice Manual (1992) and includes Pothole Repair (P5), Asphalting (P2), and Crack Repair (P4). In conclusion, to prevent further damage, it is recommended that repairs be carried out immediately on the road surface using rigid concrete construction.
