Abstract

Road transportation plays a crucial role in social and economic activities, especially in rural areas that rely on land routes. The Margasari---Jedug road in Tegal Regency is a vital route connecting villages and sub-districts, but its geometric condition still does not meet technical standards, increasing the risk of traffic accidents. This study aims to analyze the road's geometric technical parameters and redesign it using AutoCAD 2D to improve road user safety and comfort. The research methods included field surveys, comparative data analysis with Bina Marga standards, and redesign using AutoCAD 2D software. The results indicate that the curve radius, lane width, superelevation, gradient, and shoulders currently do not meet standards, and appropriate redesign could significantly reduce the risk of accidents. The use of AutoCAD 2D accelerates the design process and facilitates technical communication. Recommendations are provided for design implementation and further research.
