Abstract

Clean water is a basic need for the community to support daily life. Bantarkawung District, Brebes Regency, is an area with hilly topography and limited water access, so it often experiences problems in distribution and fulfillment of clean water needs. This study aims to analyze the community's clean water needs and compare them with the availability of water from local sources. The methods used include field surveys, water requirement calculations based on SNI standards, and analysis of water source availability. The results show that the community's water needs in Bantarkawung District reach an average of 95 liters/person/day, while the availability of clean water is only able to meet ±70% of the total needs. This condition indicates the need to improve clean water supply facilities through the development of piped networks, optimization of deep wells, and conservation of catchment areas
