Uji Hambatan Bakteri Escherichia Coli

Abstract

Antibacterial or antimicrobial are substances that can kill or inhibit the activity of microorganisms in various ways. One way to inhibit a microbe or microorganism is by using antibiotics. Antibacterial activity can be studied using several methods, namely the dilution method, the agar diffusion method, and the dilution diffusion method. This research was conducted experimentally with the aim of testing the inhibitory power of extracts of ginger, soursop, galangal and amoxycillin antibiotics with a concentration of 25 mg/ml; 12.5 mg/ml ; 6.25 mg/ml ; 3,125 mg/ml on the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. From the research results it can be seen that the diameter of the highest clean zone is 0.5 cm with the antibiotic amoxicillin.
