Abstract

Irrigation channel of Palakka in the infrastructure that function to irrigation water in Gegerkunci irrigation area from mier to the paddy fields. The maximum level in this process will be influenced to how the efficiency of channel to irrigate water. The aim of the research was to analyze the efficiency and losse of water in secondary channel. Inflow-Outflow method was used to measure the upstream and downstream velocities of each channel by current meter. After that, discharge, water losses and irrigation channel efficiency were calculated. The data used in this analysis in the primary data such as flow rate data, area of flow and discharge. In addition to the primary data also used secondary data on the Gegerkunci irrigation area network scheme. The result showed that the Secondary irrigation channel efficiency of irrigation Palakka is 109% for secondary channel (Gg), The problem solving is rehabilitation and maintenance the irrigation channels.
