Abstract

Student behavior certainly cannot be separated from learning habits at school, therefore a teacher and parents must care about what is experienced and changes that occur in students or children. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of social support on student learning behavior; the influence of the role of parents on student learning behavior; c) the influence of social support and the role of parents together on the learning behavior of grade V students of Prapag Kidul 01 State Elementary School, Losari, Brebes. This study uses a quantitative approach using a type of explanatory research through associative research, which is research that aims to explain the relationship between two or more variables with the aim of obtaining valid data. The research data used is subject data in the form of opinions, attitudes, experiences or characteristics of a person or group of people who are the subject of research. Data were obtained using questionnaires in the form of written lists of questions, primary documents in the form of answers to questionnaire results from respondents, literature studies derived from several literatures and other supporting readings. The results of this study are known to have a correlation coefficient value of R of 0.635 and a double determination coefficient value of R2 = 0.797 and an Adjusted R Square of 0.609. The coefficient of determination of 0.635 states the magnitude of the contribution of the independent variable of social support (X1) and the role of parents (X2) of 63.50% in explaining the variability of the dependent variable of student learning behavior (Y) in Prapag Kidul 01 State Elementary School, Losari, Brebes. The correlation coefficient of 0.635 states the strong simultaneous influence of the independent variable of social support and the role of parents on the dependent variable of student learning behavior. Based on the regression equation 45.833 + 0.476X1 + 0.253X2. Based on the multiple regression equation, it can be interpreted that every increase in one unit of social support variables (X1) and the role of parents (X2) will increase the variable of student learning behavior by 0.476 units of social support, plus 0.253 units of parental roles, at a constant of 45.833.
