Analisis Makna Kata dan Makna Istilah pada Album Biarkan Aku Menangis Karya Tommy J Pisa dan Implikasinya sebagai Alternatif Bahan Ajar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di SMA

Abstract

The song "Let Me Cry" is basically a poem that is actually produced by individuals based on previous experiences. Research on this album was motivated by the desire to understand the meaning of words and terms in the context of the album, which can be a material for reflection and life learning. The album chronicles the experiences of a character facing economic difficulties, and this study aims to explore the meaning of the words and terms that build the album. The reason the research focused on the meaning of words and terms is because the song reflects real experiences, with economic policies that do not support many people, so life becomes difficult and causes increased life pressure. In addition, this album also contains the meaning of struggle that can strengthen the foundation of education in schools. This study identified several problems, including identifying the meaning of words and terms that build the album, as well as finding ways to apply them as teaching materials for Indonesian Language and Literature in high school. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with the album as the main instrument. The steps involve a thorough reading of the album using heuristic and hermeneutic techniques, followed by an analysis of the meaning of words and terms contained in the album. Research does not only stop at analyzing the meaning of words and terms, but tries to make the results of research as alternative teaching materials for Indonesian Language and Literature in high school. The analysis of poetry in this album is also related to the basic competencies contained in the high school curriculum, especially in identifying, musicalizing, and responding to poetry. The hope of researchers is that students do not stop reading literary works, especially poetry, because each literary work can provide meaning that can be used as an example in life. In particular, it is expected that students will be able to apply the meaning of words and terms contained in the album "Let Me Cry".
