A novel is basically a fictional story that is all in the form of sentences or conversations to make the story more alive and meaningful. The researcher's interest in the novel Langit dan Bumi Sahabat Kami was motivated by the desire to understand the sociological aspects of culture depicted from the characters in the novel. These values can be used as reflections and life lessons. The reason for the appointment of the review of aspects of cultural sociology as a study material, because this novel tells the experience of a character who struggles to live in uncertain people's anxiety. This novel is also embedded in noble values of struggle that we can later make to strengthen the foundation for education in schools. This research formulates several problems including identifying what elements are constructive in the novel Heaven and Earth Our Friends, then the second how to apply it to learning Indonesian language and literature in high school. The goal is to take aspects of sociology in the novel Langit dan Bumi Sahabat Kami and later implicated in learning Indonesian language and literature in high school. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, as a key instrument. The first step is to read the novel Heaven and Earth Our Friends thoroughly, using heuristic and hermeneutic techniques and then find out what structures build in the novel Heaven and Earth Our Friends using a structuralism approach and then just analyze the aspects of cultural sociology contained in the novel. The implications of the novel Heaven and Earth Sahabat Kami by Nh. Dini are given to grade X high school students. The Indonesian syllabus in grade X high school contains competency standards in the form of identifying values and content contained in folklore (hikayat) both oral and written. By using lectures, assignments and role-playing methods, students will have a memorable impression and students are able to respect, appreciate and utilize literary works that can develop personality, broaden life horizons and to improve the ability to think decisively and reason. By maturing emotionally and socially and increasing students' emotional sensitivity and ability to understand, enjoy literary works. So with the learning unit program, the teaching and learning process will succeed well and can improve students' ability to appreciate literary works and is closely related to the practice of sharpening feelings, reasoning and imagination as well as sensitivity to society, culture and the environment.
