A Uji Efek Imunomodulator Ekstrak Etanol Daun Sirih Hijau (Piper Betle L.) terhadap Peningkatan Aktivitas Fagositosis pada Mencit (Mus Musculus)
Abstract
The development of knowledge on the use of natural ingredients was chosen as an alternative immunomodulator. This study aims to find out and prove that green betel leaf ethanol extract (Piper betle L.) has immunomodulatory activity using carbon cleaning methods in male white mice. A total of 25 male white mice were divided into 5 groups consisting of group 1 as a negative control given aquadedistillate, group 2 as a positive control given a dose of 10 mg/KgBW, groups 3, 4 and 5 given green betel leaf ethanol extract with successive doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/KgBW. The treatment was given orally as much as 1.0 mL for 6 days. On the 7th day, an immunomodulatory test of the carbon cleaning method was carried out. The results showed that the ethanol extract of green betel leaf dose 400 mg/ KgBW showed the highest immunomodulatory effect compared to doses of 100 and 200 mg/KgBW. The phagocytosis index produced from the treatment of green betel leaf ethanol extract doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/KgBW on test animals was -16.5: 66.6 and 92.4. Based on the results of statistical tests, the administration of green betel leaf ethanol extract dose of 100 mg/KgBW Is immunosuppressant, doses of 200 and 400 mg/KgBW are immunostimulan. The best phagocytosis activity was found in the administration of green betel eaf ethanol extract dose of 400 mg/KgBW with significant differences in the group of test animals given Stimuno (p > 0.05). Green betel leaf ethanol extract has immunomodulatory activity.
