Abstract

The problem in this research stems from the importance of employee performance as a key determinant of organizational success, including at PT Tah Sung Hung Brebes. Employee performance is influenced by various internal and external factors, including leadership style and work environment. However, the research results show that leadership style does not have a significant impact on employee performance, while the work environment has a positive and significant effect. In addition, simultaneously, both leadership style and work environment influence employee performance, but their contribution is only 19.8%, while 78.5% of the variation in employee performance is influenced by other factors that were not examined. This condition raises academic and practical issues, namely how to better understand the relative roles of leadership style and work environment on performance, as well as other factors outside the research that could potentially contribute more significantly to improving employee performance.
