Abstract

The increasing dependence of students on the internet has become a serious issue, as it not only supports learning but also exposes adolescents to negative impacts such as addiction, inappropriate content, and cyberbullying. This study aims to analyze the implementation of safe and healthy internet use among 11th-grade junior high school students and to formulate effective educational strategies to minimize the risks of internet misuse. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving 30 students as the main subjects, along with ICT teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents as supporting informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that most students use the internet 3–6 hours daily for both academic and non-academic activities. The study concludes that successful implementation of safe and healthy internet practices requires active collaboration between schools, parents, and students through participatory strategies that foster critical awareness, digital ethics, and collective responsibility in creating a safe and productive digital ecosystem.
