The low level of public speaking skills remains a common problem faced by many junior high school students, causing them to appear less confident, rigid in communication, and unable to inspire the audience. This issue highlights the need for early development of public speaking skills so that students can perform with confidence, communicative ability, and inspiration. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of public speaking training through group methods and hands-on practice in shaping junior high school students’ skills as Masters of Ceremony (MCs). The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Belik, Desa Badak, Kecamatan Belik, Pemalang Regency, involving students as training participants. The training process included the delivery of basic material, group division, MC practice simulations, and feedback sessions. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ confidence, vocal management, and audience engagement. Group-based and practice-oriented training proved effective in motivating students to develop public speaking skills while also fostering teamwork. This study emphasizes that public speaking competence is not only relevant for academic purposes but also plays a crucial role in preparing young generations to become confident and inspiring communicators in the future.
