The low level of students’ numerical digital literacy skills at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Gunungjaya, Belik Subdistrict, Pemalang Regency—particularly in mastering spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel—has resulted in difficulties in processing and visualizing data digitally. The “Excel Cermat” Program, implemented on July 22, 2025, involved 22 ninth-grade students and aimed to improve students’ technical skills and confidence in using Excel. The program adopted a participatory approach with a hands-on training method (learning by doing), covering interface introduction, basic functions, table creation, and data visualization. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in Excel proficiency (86.36% of students were able to create tables and calculate averages, while 68.18% were able to create simple charts) as well as a positive change in attitudes toward technology use. This program contributes to strengthening 21st-century competencies, reducing the digital skills gap in rural areas, and has the potential to be replicated in other schools with similar characteristics.
