Abstract

Increasing public awareness about the negative impact of the consumption of preservatives on food products is an important thing in an effort to maintain public health. Walangsanga Village, Moga District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java, is one of the areas where the community still lacks information about food safety, especially in terms of the use of preservatives in food products. This community service program aims to increase the understanding and awareness of local village communities about the dangers of consuming excessive preservatives through food safety socialization. This socialization activity was carried out with a participatory approach involving several local villagers, especially pregnant and lactating women at the Posyandu in Walangsanga village. This socialization is expected to be able to encourage the local community, especially pregnant and lactating women in Walangsanga Village, Moga District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java.
