Abstract

This research highlights the importance of complete and accurate data in structural analysis as well as software applications to ensure the safety and efficiency of structural design. This study aims to analyze the strength of the column structure in the building of the Assalafiyah 05 Kaligangsa Kulon Islamic Boarding School, Brebes Regency, with SAP 2000 software. This study involves analyzing a column structure model by considering various loads, including dead loads, live loads, and earthquake loads. The research method includes collecting column structure data from the study location, modeling the structure using SAP 2000, and evaluating the results of the analysis against the applicable calculation standards. The results of the analysis show that the column structure in the Assalafiyah 05 Islamic Boarding School building is quite safe in carrying the existing load. However, some columns show the calculation results are close to the nominal limit of the recommended strength, especially in columns with eccentricity loads. That the column repetition ratio, namely for KS1 of 0.01508, KS2 of 0.01257, and Practical Column of 0.02596, is within the set range between 0.01 and 0.08, so it is in accordance with the standard. The maximum planned compressive strength of the KS1 column reaches 970.26 kN, the KS2 column is 565.46 kN, and the Practical Column is 151.25 kN. All columns except KS1 column 1st floor can withstand the load well; The KS1 column on the 1st floor shows an ultimate moment that exceeds the nominal compressive force of 1015.84 kN, which is caused by a larger loading area, so the load does not meet the existing requirements. In addition, the lack of available data led to inconsistencies in the cross-sectional ratio check results in SAP 2000, mainly due to the absence of the beam detail data required for accurate modeling.
