Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a very important sector in the Indonesian economy, with rapid growth since 1997. Tape, a fermented product made from raw ingredients, is one of Indonesia's traditional products with a distinctive texture and appearance. Tape packaging plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and durability of the product. The objective of MSMEs in Grobog Wetan is to improve the quality of packaging for micro, small, and medium enterprises in the region. This study applied various methods, such as observation, demonstration, literature study, benchmarking, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The main focus of the research is on the aspect of tape packaging, particularly the use of plastic in the production process and the use of various materials for labeling and packaging. In addition, this study also involves a photo survey to collect data related to tape packaging and the variety of materials used for labeling. In conclusion, MSMEs play a very significant role in the Indonesian economy, especially in the production of tape.

Optimalisasi Kemampuan Publikasi Ilmiah Mahasiswa melalui Pelatihan Penulisan Artikel yang Sistematis dan Etis

Scientific publication is one of the key indicators in developing students’ academic competencies, particularly in the context of community service. However, many students face challenges in writing journal articles that meet scientific standards and publication ethics. This training aims to enhance students’ abilities in preparing community service journal articles through practical and strategic approaches. The training activities include topics on the structure of scientific articles, effective writing techniques, data organization and analysis, as well as the procedures for submitting articles to accredited journals. Methods employed include interactive lectures, case studies, writing simulations, and group discussions. The expected outcomes are improved student understanding of the scientific publication process, the ability to write systematic articles, and readiness to submit scholarly works to community service journals. This training is anticipated not only to improve publication quality but also to foster a sustainable culture of research and community service among students.

Pengembangan Batik Pewarna Alami Berbasis Limbah Mangrove sebagai Upaya Pemberdayaan Ekonomi dan Penguatan Ekowisata Edukatif

Development of local potential based on coastal resources represents an important strategy for achieving sustainable community economic empowerment. Mangrove ecosystems not only serve vital ecological functions but also offer economic potential through the utilization of mangrove waste as raw material for creative products. This community service program aims to develop natural dye batik derived from mangrove waste as an effort to promote economic empowerment of coastal communities while strengthening educational ecotourism. The implementation methods included identification of mangrove waste potential, environmental awareness activities, technical training on natural dye extraction, batik-making workshops, production and marketing assistance, as well as the design and implementation of an educational ecotourism package entitled “Batik with Nature.” Activities involved coastal community members, tourism awareness groups, and support from local government authorities. Results indicate that more than 90% of participants successfully mastered basic techniques of natural dye extraction and batik production, leading to the creation of marketable mangrove-based batik products. Strengthening educational ecotourism through environmentally themed batik experiences increased the attractiveness of the mangrove tourism area and contributed to higher visitor numbers. The program also contributed to increased community income, reduced reliance on synthetic dyes, and enhanced awareness of mangrove conservation. Development of natural dye batik based on mangrove waste demonstrates effectiveness as an integrated model of economic empowerment and educational ecotourism strengthening. Synergy between creative economy initiatives and environmental conservation supports sustainable development in coastal areas.
